Ryzen 5 1600 or i5 7600k for gaming

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade from my i5 3450 to a better cpu. Im considering the 1600 and the 7600k.

Which one is better for gaming? (I have a rx480 if that matters)

Thanks

You could get a third gen i7 but the better option is definitely 1600 IMO

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Definitly get a 1600. I5's shouldn't be considered anymore

R5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *insert autistical screeching*

anyway id get the 1600 and overclock it, its going to be better in the long run seeing as games are moveing to be more and more multi threaded and its cheaper(atleast where i live)

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

cheap pentium will have to be replaced in a couple years, an i5 isn't that overkill for day to day tasks, it's worth it because spending 100$ more on an upgrade now couple extend the lifetime of the PC by 1-2 years and a new pc usually costs $500+
