Help!!!!What the hell is this?? Can't I use EVGA 850g3 in india?

so do i need a flippin transformer to use it in my new build?? I dont know exactly about the voltage and other specs of an indian wall socket, if i use it in the Indian socket without any transformer will it short circuit!!??? Please help me it will be great and really nice of u all guys! Help!!

Well I guess you have single phase AC as your wall outlet, I very much doubt you have 3 phase.

240v for india according to the above, so you are fine as the PSU is 220-250v single phase.

 

At this point you have 2 options (if the lead doesn't fit your socket) Buy an adapter for your wall socket or swap out the PSU power lead for another with an india standard wall outlet connector

If it's a legit unit don't worry, India has the same voltage as Europe and here we can use it

IMO, the PSU should be able to work fine since it has active power factor correction: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/116245-28-active

 

It can auto correct the AC input voltage, regardless 120V or 240V

 

As long as the plug socket is compatible, it should work.

 

Need some LTT experts to confirm it however.

So I can use it with an adapter are u sure there will be no problem as it says that if it short circuits than they will not replace it or refund me!

PSU used to have switches on the back to switch between 120 and 240V but now they do it automatically. I dont know why that sticker is on the box. You have the same 230-240VAC as NZ and Iv never seen that sticker. Might be some regulation you have that requires some outdated obsolete sticker on imports

The PSU will switch between operating voltages automatically. As long as your source is grounded you'll be fine.
