£500 Gaming Build

Genjii

I wanna get into PC gaming but on a budget of £500GBP, I wanna play Battlegrounds, Destiny 2 and CSGO. I cant really afford to go over that budget so id prefer if you could keep it as close to the budget as possible :). I only really need a keyboard and mouse, i have a monitor already and have a friend who is working on getting me Windows 10.

All help welcome :D

This should work nicely. I've configured it so it'd be easy to upgrade in the future, which you might wanna do.. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/hKwrf8

that anit a bad list, but that being said you can squeeze a 1050 ti in the budget, just https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/m8D4vV.

I understand it's slightly over, but you can drop the SSD if you want to get it under, but that is your choice. I tried to get a r5 CPU in it, but intels choices are still much cheaper, to do for budget builds

Not bad, but I'd still take the EVGA psu over the corsair one. Much better quality, imo. I do agree with the rest of the parts though.

that would only cut the price down a tad, so that anit a big problem.

looks good. It's a shame Ryzen 3 isn't out yet. I'd go for this build though since you can always upgrade in the future.

yea, I was thinking is R3 out soon during making the list, but it anit out for another 2/3 months, and although it might be worth waiting, I anit going to say the OP should as they may need the PC before that

Agreed Ryzen 3 would be nice to have now. Here's my take on the part list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/YDPxQV

Space for more ram, SSHD for slightly faster performance, and a nicer 1050 ti cooler for potentially better overclocking.

fair enough, that looks good, might be worth adding an extra £40 for a SSD mind you cause those are very nice to have

SSD would be nice but a hybrid drive is a good compromise between storage space and speed while keeping it within budget. Or you could buy a 256gb ssd only now, and add a hard drive later.

aye, or go over budget and add one in because why not :P cause they are great things to have once you have them

Yes, by all means get both now if you have the money, but be careful or all these little upgrades may turn a £500 build into 1000.

aye, I get that but I feel that that one little will be worth it in the long run, most others won't really be worth it  as much, and will destroy the budget.

6100/7100 are much better CPUs, although yes the pentium won't bottleneck the gaming side, much if at all compared to them, the i3's will be more powerful for anything else the OP might want to do

Pretty good, but I would spend more on the CPU and less on the Peripherals at this price point.

CPU was selected as a bit of an upgrade path, as he can opt for a 7600/7700 down the line if it becomes a concern. For cames like csgo and such, it is plenty.  :):)

True, upgrade paths are important, but since the keyboard and mouse, and storage are also upgrade-able (and more easily so than the CPU) its better start with a little more raw performance with the better CPU now. Plus upgrading to a core i7/i5 is still possible with all part lists previously posted.

Definitely agree :)

Was just a suggestion on what I would personally do :):)
