LGG4, G5, V10, V20, Nexus 5X Bootloop Lawsuit

Jaeden Hudson

Looks like LG is under some fire right now. I advise anyone who has purchased an LG G4, LG G5, LG V10, LG V20, or Nexus 5X to fill out the survey Here if you have experienced boot loop problems. My V10 died the other day due to this. From what I read in the lawsuit form, a poorly soldered CPU to the motherboard is the cause of this. It can not handle the constant heating up and cooling down of the CPU to hold up over time. You can read up on it too if you like. Just wanted to let people know. This might have been posted already, but it does not hurt to get people in the know.

My LG G4 had the bootloop problem after over a year of owning it. I got a replacement from LG for free and I still love the phone to death, it honestly is an amazing phone that checks all my boxes.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

my wife went through 4 lgg4 luckily we got a refund after that she ended up getting an s7.  I highly recommend everyone to stay away from lg phones , quality control is a real issue.

I contacted LG, and they told me to either deal with the brick that I now have, or pay for a refurbished replacement. In my opinion, I shouldn't have to pay for anything for an issue that is so widespread. One thing that was stated in the lawsuit case is that LG is fully aware of this issue, and is still selling the phones knowing they have this problem. That is like Samsung saying they know the phones are exploding, but you still have to pay for a replacement or deal with it. Bad analogy I know, considering these LG phones are not a danger to anyone. Just a major inconvenience. Fortunately, I have my rooted custom rom G2 to save me until my contract is up. For how old it is, it is still a great phone. Battery is a little meh in terms of screen on time though.
