That's odd, im getting  around 20% cpu usage on a low end cpu  on chrome with a bunch of extensions and tabs, do you have gpu acceleration on?

You need to have hardware acceleration enabled.

Try use MPV player. Just drag link youtube and drop into MVP player. Enjoy full screen:)
