The number of people who would benefit from this is very small, and implementing it would require a very large amount of work, so this isn't going to happen.

So, I want to send a PM at a certain time much like I can control the release time of a blog post.

 

There are genuine reasons for this and I'd like it to be added.

I wanted to send a PM to coincide with something which I know roughly when it will happen and I already knew how I wanted to phrase it.

 

It would have saved me time to do it early own and then let it send on it's own.

No. I was using the blogs as an example of how blogs already support features like this and this would just have to be copied over from a technical point of view.

 

If I know i need to send a PM and I know how i want it written whilst knowing it doesn't have to be sent right away, I want to be able to write a PM and have it sent at the time I want it whilst not worrying about timing.

I don't see this implemented. I don't remember I ever saw any app/messaging program that had this feature. 

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Many email clients have this. And I would agree it being something to look at with more boarder audience. But not when we are talking about such small community as these forums. If one has need for such features surely they have other means to deliver messages in such precision.
