Haven't really "clicked" onto any games

Well as I grow older, more games start to get boring. I'm not going to be a gamer all my life, i'll probably have to call it quits in a month or so. But as of right now, I want to play a game, that's fun. I was really into clubpenguin for the majority of elementary. Actually all of it. In middle school I played minecraft, for a good 3 or so years. But now I've gotten bored. I tried playing just cause 3, but then got bored. Tried fifa, same thing. Tried multiple games, but like after 20 hours of playing them or so. I just lose interest. Are there any good games that can keep you interested, but not addicted. I've tried mafia 3, and watch dogs 2, but after the story ends, it kinda gets boring. I'm into sandbox games.

Have you looked at Witcher 3, Fallout 4 or Skyrim? Far Cry 4 is another good one. They're all open world type games(though Witcher 3 takes time to open up).

fallout is what i would recommend

I like to kill hardware. In 2016 alone I have killed 20 Xeon 5160, and 10+ Pentium 4.

I played some club penguin back in the day, then Runescape took over, then my brother introduced me to Minecraft when it was in Alpha. I similarly lost interest a few years ago, and the only game that has really stuck since was Rocket League.

It might be a side effect of going from High school into College, but I can't just sit down and play for hours and hours to get the immersion factor I used to love out of those games. Minecraft in 5 minute intervals was never really fun, it was the 6 hour sessions of "Oh! Just one more block!" that I loved. So the fact that I can get so drawn into a game of Rocket League and go beginning to end in 5-6 minutes, or as long as I would like, makes it ideal for me, but of course, YMMV.

The only game I consistently play is World of Warships. It's not like I don't have time to play other games, it seems like I can't just get really into them like I have in the past.

fallout and skyrim are from the tech side really bad but worth a shot if that doesnt annoy you,far cry 4 is basically far cry 3 with a different map.
witcher 3 is one of my favorite games, really worth the price imo

I think they're all great, Witcher is a great Character RPG with a good combat system and a great story with an awesomely detailed world. I was unsure about getting it originally because i didnt really like the previous games but I ended up playing 16 hours in my first sitting and it was the only thing I played for 2 months after buying it. Fallout 4 is also a good one to look into, its a more free roam type game compared to Witcher, after the intro you can literally just say fuck the "main" story and go where ever. The gunplay is pretty good and the world of pretty good sized. Skyrim is the same kind of thing except its not 50s sci fi but swords and dragons n magic n shit. Also a great game and both fallout and skyrim have a tremendous modding community if youre into that so those two have a lot of offer.

I really liked Far Cry 3 and wanted more of it and thats what FC4 is, more with improvements. The world if pretty big and the gunplay is great, the story or rather the main and sidecontent are both pretty interesting and I enjoyed it. There's lots of "ubisoft" style collectathon stuff but its not really necessary and can be skipped if thats not your thing. Overall FC4 is a solid shooter in a big and pretty open world, also you can use bait to make tigers attack people and ride elephants around and fuck people up.

all of the games have been out for awhile so theres plenty of content that you can go and look up to find out more about the games.

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Your neved too old to stop playing computer games. Where the fun in that. Grow old and sit in front of the TV and watch them repeats over and over again no thanks.

If your finding it hard to have fun on the PC just do something else for a while and come back to the PC. When i go on holiday each year for 2 weeks. By the time i come home im dieing to get on the PC lol and play some games.

Another thing is try out some MMO's find a good guild and use Teamspeak or Discord etc etc. Speak to people its alot more fun playing games then.

How good is World of Warships? I almost started playing it after I watched an anime about naval battles... I think Ars Nova was the name

Arpeggio of Blue Steel lol

It's pretty decent and I enjoy it. They had a collaboration with Arpeggio last year in which you could earn some of the ships (Takao, the Kongo class ships, and the Myoko class ships). It can require a bit of strategy and thinking but those often result in massive payoffs. Then again half the players are potatoes so sometimes you can only carry so hard.

I recommend giving Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag a try.

Also, though it isn't a sandbox title, you might like Max Payne 3, which is narrative driven, and has lots of action.
