First Build

[Deux Alpha]

Hey guys!!
I'm planning to build my first computer and I need some advice.
I'll be using it mostly for gaming (I play almost everything so I can't specify... FarCry, Rainbow Six Siege, Crysis (I hope XD), GTA V, CS:GO, LOL) but also some 3D/CAD work in SolidWorks and some programing in MatLab (although no so often).

Specs:
CPU: Intel core i5-6600k
MoBo: MSI Z170A-G43 Plus
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8) - DDR4 2400
Storage: SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (and HDD: WD Black 1TB 7200RPM --> I'll add later)

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Armor 6G OCV1

PSU: Corsair CX550M

Case: NZXT S340 Elite

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Fan: Corsair Air Series AF120mm Quiet Edition

On my country this makes a total of around 1100€ without monitor nor peripherals.

So, what do you think? What would you change within my budget (~1000€)?
Also, I plan to add more 16GB of RAM later. Do you think it is too much of an overkill? And I'm thinking on adding a 2^nd monitor when I have money, is SLI that important for a good performance on a 2 screen display? Should I bet on a SLI compatible motherboard right away?

if you're going to use cad or cpu bound applications, you should change to ryzen 1600, because more cores and threads will improve time rendering

I'd suggest a 1600 instead as well as an rx 480 8gb, otherwise looks good.

This is what I would recommend, but Ryzen doesn't seem to perform very well in GTA V

Not necessarily. Intel wins in averages but Ryzen wins in minimums, which arguably are more important.

Compare to the i5s, which are getting really low .1% mins. It seems like a gta issue but it's there.

But at the same time Ryzen is better for cad work, and has a better upgrade path. 7700 is about $100 more than a 1600 and mobos are maybe $50 cheaper. Ryzen is still cheaper.

@Deux Alpha Get the Ryzen 5 1600, it is MUCH better for your needs!

that is alot of power draw as it stands, add in more ram, and another good vid card and your gonna start having issues, I would upgrade your power supply to 850 to 1000,

Shouldn't need more than 16gb of ram, unless your talking about future upgrades, in which case, I would upgrade GPU 1st, since you can get more powerful gpus that will have an impact, instead of ram, which may/may not have an impact. Wierd everyone keeps talking about Cad, when OP said he is doing gaming

that vid card she is looking at is a power hog, double it up add it another ssd and a hdd and she will be close to, or over her psu limit.  from my experiance when you get close to or exceed your limit it usually does not just crash, instead you end up with a gremlin of errors, first ram, then hard drive, it seems random but I have seen it happen.

550 watt will be fine lmfao, where are you getting your information? His/her system is drawing 332w, at most he should do is a 650w.

Also, I'd maybe change your WD black to a WD blue and save some cash.

Yeah, if you want to stick to Intel though, get an i7-7700. Either way, don't get an overclockable i5!

hahaha yes, it doesn't go above 350W
Although I am aware that i'll have to change the power supply if I want to put one more GPU

adding in more ram, sli... looks like another vid card too, now lets take consider overclocking and maybe watercooling, now you have an issue, and evga semi modular 850 is not that expensive, but it is better to have that capacaty to expand with now than to have to buy anotherone down the road.

An i7 goes a little over my budget 
and I still have to buy a monitor
