Help choose fans.

steve-kon

So, I've thought of adding extra fans for my case and I saw a few fans but I don't know if they'll do any good. Here are my choices

http://www.amazon.in/Deepcool-UF-140-Cooling-Fan/dp/B008ZIPKJ0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1492204626&sr=8-3&keywords=deepcool+140

http://www.amazon.in/Arctic-F14-140mm-Ultra-Quiet-Case/dp/B01J4FUU7Y/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1492243659&sr=1-1&keywords=140mm+fan

And do I buy this

http://www.amazon.in/Deepcool-Fan-Hub-Controls-PC/dp/B008YD7B0M/ref=pd_bxgy_147_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=1XRRVAD4P174FAW4SE9D

or

The Arctic F series fans are decent, and the splitter will work if you are using the connection from your motherboard's header.

I recommend Fractal designs - I have two fans in my pc - One being an Intel stock cooler and the other is a 120mm fractal design fan and my pc has never overheated.

I heard Noctua fans are great quality, but I can't verify that because I have never had one.

Can you post a link of the product?

The UF140 is a 4pin pwm fan and would work with the first fan hub/splitter linked.

The Arctic F14 however seems to be a 3pin fan that would run at 100% if powered via pwm from the hub and would instead work with the Rockmaster fan controller.

That being said, most modern motherboards have some sort of built-in fan controller that's usually less of a hassle to deal with.

What are your specs?

Those work. The LED variant is considerably worse though.

What's the reason behind getting new fans in the first place? Are you not satisfied with the stock case fans?

Well i'm not planning to replace the stock fans(at least for now) but my case has one fan as exhaust and as intake fan. I don't think they are enough for my build, so I want to add two exhaust on the upper side and another intake on the front.

So, between The Arctic F14 and Corsair Air Series AF140 what do I choose?

I've personally had a relatively positive experience with the corsair fans, though I can't say for sure which ones are best. I'd look up some online reviews of the two, and pick whichever one suits your needs and is cheapest.

Seriously, if you already have 1 intake and 1 outtake, you really don't need anymore unless you want it for looks or to satisfy your own desire.

If i remember correctly, linus already did a video on this subject so decide on your own. If it was me, i would rather spend that money elsewhere or just get 1 fan to make it 2 intake.

The stock fans should already be enough.
