alloc8 permanent jailbreak on a bootloader level released for the iPhone 3GS

Djole123

Yo dawg, I heard you like stuff from 2000s!

Guess what, 8 years after the iPhone 3GS was announced, another permanent jailbreak was found for it, but this one is pretty special.

alloc8 is not your ordinary jailbreaking tool that cracks into the iOS itself, but rather a bootloader bug exploiter, and because it's at such a low level, Apple has no way of patching it via a new iOS update.

This means that you can have the jailbreak forever without worries of Apple patching it, unless they release a third revision of the 3GS

alloc8 works with both the old and the new revisions of the 3GS.

This is pretty cool, but it's also extremely risky since it does do bootloader exploiting. Tho, if you do have a 3GS lying somewhere in your closet, give it a shot.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
