I used Windows 2000 Professional for so long, amazing OS. Only reason I went to XP was for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.

Pretty much the same for me, though I did switch to XP for a while before going to XP x64.

Software support.

Any program which uses Chromium or CEF (a surprisingly large amount TBH) are no longer supported on Windows Vista.

That means:

Uplay

Steam

Rockstar Social Club

Spotify

Origin

Discord

Google Chrome

Chromium Browser

and numerous other software are no longer supported.

That's part of "If it fits my needs" If I don't need those, still no compelling reason to upgrade.

I think you and I are two of probably 6 people that used x64 back then.

Im one of those 6 people. It was a horrible OS. Slow as fuck and clunky as fuck. I upgraded to Win 7 a month after it was released.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I remember how bad it was, but that was the issue with XP x64. Adoption rate was very low at the time.

The fucked up thing is MS didnt even try. XP x64 was Windows Server 2003 with the XP shell on top. I mean all the updates you got were for Windows Server 2003.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
