Laptop Suggestion Request

My current laptop just fried its bios...

I am looking for a new laptop that is portable, can game, I sort of want a touchscreen and 4k.

It needs to not throttle.

I will be taking it to class and using it as my primary gaming setup for 4 months out of the year.

Build quality is a must.

The price does not matter but I need it by next week.

I would like it thin. I have heard the blades heat up a lot. Also the 4k version is not out yet.

I would shy away from 4k for a gaming based laptop since alt tabbing while gaming is a nuisance and that 4k on laptops usually incur some bad text scalings.

My other question was do I go for the skylake variants.

If so, should I go for the pro.

Dell Outlet Alienware 13. No 4k option but there is a 1440p OLED option.

Or the AW15, which does have a 4k option as well as a 1080p 120Hz option

idk

Idk if you can get good 4K yet with a thin laptop.  Look at the msi titan and apache new models

I sort of want something in the blade/blade pro form factor.

My laptop that just died was the msi ghost pro 3k.

Something around that size.

I want at least a 1060.

Would the 1080p blade be a good choice?

I think you might be able to get away with a stealth pro 4K from msi

Idk.

Good. Mix of plastic and metal. Just don't be dropping this shit and you'll be fine. Both me and @Galm have one.

yes

yes if you get a liquid metal repaste or gelid repaste from the link above.

Razer blade? Does it need to be thin?

Just for future reference not much OPs post matches a Razer Blade.

Doesn't throttle?  Nope

Build quality?  Nope

The Blade has good aesthetic quality.  It feels nice.  But it's not tough, or built to last.  Unibody Aluminum is weaker than reinforced plastic and steel.

So the P650 is my best option.

It needs to be portable and fit in a backpack.

I walk 3+ miles each day with it.
