2nd monitor keeps shutting off "no signal"

Have a 2 monitor setup on a standard HP tower. It has worked fine for several years, but all of the sudden it started shutting the second monitor down saying "no input". It will work again if I power it down and then power it back up again, but only shortly, then it will fall back off and say no signal. Nothing else has changed as far as I know. 

 

Cables are tight, so I don't know if that's it, plus it's repeatable, after powering down/on it will last a little while, then fall off again. 

 

Hoping you guys had some ideas?

Try switching the monitors to see if it's a monitor issue. Probably just burnt out or a bad cable. Good luck and keep us posted.
