on a serious note, could we get rid of the orange overlay during outros, it honestly feels cheaper then just seeing the host with thing overlayed.

It would be cool if the CentOS setup could be explained more! I think there are loads of people who just want to turn an old computer into a shared save space at home

I would also be interested in the software configuration for this server, I'm only limited to knowledge of raid 0,1,10,5,6 neither of which I'm to enthusiastic about, and when I need to add more its a pain to resize.

If Linus was smart, he's move all the data off the old two servers and then upgrade the hard drives and add them to the gluster cluster.... IMO

I'm barely done learning the ins and outs of zfs and now I need to learn about this gluster, aye yai yai

that said I'm finally sold on a storinator, I've been barely keeping up with storage expansion since I started and at this point I'm just going to build a new blade system and a separate raw storage system for everything else

 

so if your boys at 45 drives suddenly get an order for the mondak region or michigan it was probably me, not sure yet which office it's going to. Tell them the ad spot was worth it.

IDK what their offsite backup is, but If I were Linus, it would be with AWS, and so then it's basically unlimited. Relatively cost effective.
