Project Sinestro - NZXT S340 Elite

Long time, no build. :)

Last time I was doing something on NZXT S340, so basically not moving too far. But I happened to get an opportunity to start a mod in this case thanks to NZXT.

As the title says, the project is called Sinestro. For those who don't know who he is, here is his best photo. Don't know if he woke up on the wrong foot or something:

Green Lantern was a bit mainstream and wanted to switch from all the superhero mods to villians (don't get me wrong, I wasn't here for a long time). :P

Unfortunatelly I can't list the whole list of the specs since I am still in process of sorting things out which ones to choose and which way to go. How components arrive and when I make up my mind, I will update this post so at the end the list can be completed. On the other hand, that doesn't mean I can't start some bits and pieces with the case. So far the specs of the build are:

Blue accents for a red/yellow themed build?

The blue is going away. Colors will be yellow and black with small amount of red (because of his head)...

Some photos of the components. Unfortunatelly don't have some studio or good lighting, but until the build gets in to the process of making, I will sort that out as well. ;)

A bit of update. Took out all the blue stuff, PSU shroud, cable management shroud and three SSD/HUE+ brackets. Something is up for painting and something is permanently taken out. ;)

Vacation starting next week so I can finally hit some stores and continue to work on Project Sinestro.

A little heads up for the future plans. Painting some stuff and getting some parts in plexiglass. Back sidepanel will also get into works later, just need to find the things I need to start the work for it. But not going to say everything. :D More soon... ;)

Placed everything in from the components just to see how it will all fit. Waiting for some plexiglass stuff and then some coloring of the other stuff (I won't write it yet). :D Here is a pic.IMG_1498.thumb.JPG.bd4515fb2036f5c0ab14f5729ec69e95.JPG

Thanks to CableMod, I got some sick looking custom sleeved cables that will fit the build just perfectly (well at least in my opinion). :D More accent on the yellow with a dash of black... ;)

So this is how my yesterdays garage day went. Drilled some holes for the pump and for the NZXT cable management vertical plate. Made the hole for the fill port, painted my radiator from white to black (because I used it for Glacier Blaze mod) and well as painted some fittings from blue to black (same thing, from Glacier Blaze mod). done some cutting on the screws that were holding the case because I couldn't place the 120 radiator. I have to repaint the cable management vertical plate to black also. Not too much work, but painting has taken up a lot of time.

A bit slow on the updates lately, but believe me when I say that I am up to neck with work.. :/ But here are some updates...

FullSizeRender.thumb.jpg.e82bbc502c40bd20a6686254c38c26b1.jpg

Pipes are going to be redone since this was just a mock up to see how it all looks... And I had to order more pipes haha :P

CableMod was also nice to fix my cables in to nice waterfall and sent these cool cable combs.

And finally the stickers are done for the GPU, side panel for the case and some other bits and pieces.

This Sunday will post the final photos if I don't update something in between. :D
