Upgrade RAM or new mousepad?

Soooo I'm a student and I've saved enough money to bump up my laptop's RAM to 8 GB. I edit videos as projects for my class using Premiere Pro. Sometimes it would stutter and lag if I set the preview resolution to full (idk if this is RAM related or disk), so maybe bumping up my RAM would eliminate the problem.

But, we're on summer vacation and it's a few months until we go back to school. I am hoping that the RAM would improve my laptop's general speediness, other than in Premiere.

or should I buy a Steelseries QCK+ instead? I play CS:GO.

you could use a book as mouse pad, you can't use a book as RAM

You can't use a RAM as mouse pad though. Do you think moar ram would solve stuttering?

Yup, only 4 GB :( I don't know if this because of my RAM or my shitty 5400 RPM hard drive

im using either a pillow, my mattress my leg, my desk, harry potter book 7 (really good book btw) and some oter random crap as a mousepad, get the ram. when i went from 4gb to 10gb a lot of my stuttering went away so i assume that could be your problem. it also depends on your cpu/gpu
