Skylake on Z270 negatives?

Hello, my Asus Z170-E motherboard has recently died on me with a void warranty and I'm considering getting a Z270 board to replace it, I was curious to know if there are any negatives to running a skylake cpu on the Z270 chipset.

Literally the only negative is they cost more spec for spec than a 170 board.

you might not be able to use one of your M.2 ports if it has two, you should be able to but i recall ther beeing something about that. they are also more expensive

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Don't have any M.2 Drives, so that won't be an issue, but thanks for letting me know :)
