AF but the 120 series has little CFM difference. If it is SP120 vs AF120 get the SP120

Can't go wrong with a coolermaster 120mm fan 4 pack

lower db than the AF120 I'm seeing

You're probably going to want airflow for an exhaust fan, though for the most part you probably don't even need an exhaust fan

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Just throw a 80 or 92mm Vantec Tornado back there for that lol. Seriously, don't unless you want to sound like a server farm.

Bottom line:  Don't be a spaz or an 800lb gorilla when installing your expensive CPU, and you won't have any problems. --Phate.exe

May I question, what potentially would be your preference? LED Illumination, low noise output, ect?

Although, personally I would upmost certainly recommend of these few [UK Links]

I use of those Auoker fans quite often, highly recommended for a spectacular balance between noise emission, as well as airflow movement [CFM].

Would not use Corsair fans unless you desire brilliant quality bearings/motors.

I once did the unthinkable, back many headphones ago...

I split an audio split, again

Those are crap.

Specs cannot be reliably compared between different manufacturers. There's no regulation on how fan specs are measured. For the most part, they are bull. Ignore them and look at benchmark and in-depth reviews instead.

AF120's are better than SP120's in most cases that aren't highly restrictive like a rad. That being said, Corsair AF/SP fans tend to hold a premium over other similar or better performing fans.

What's the reason behind replacing the case fans?

In what way? They're basic 120mm fans that will get the job done.

Sometimes the cheapo CM fans can be quite decent surprisingly.

I tried the Corsair SP120 LED those were crap. Only ones that met my expectations was ML series in 140mm

They don't perform well and aren't that quiet for the performance that it delivers. It's below average.

SP120 LED's aren't great either but at least they're better than the CM R4's.
