Eh, I wouldn't. Any crappy receiver à manufacturer is going to put on a flight controller isn't going to perform as well as a standalone receiver. Except maybe that fr-sky F3 thing.

I've been wainting to try those FC's with the intergrated ones, really like the idea of it as its compact for a tiny build but thats the issue one thing goes adn its replace the whole thing. Why i'l sticking to 200+ size for a while, easier to change out parts.

GL man

I may fist steal the fc from my tiny woop build for the mean time. Would this board work? Would it bind to my fs-i6

Is there any way to connect my flysky ia6 receiver to uart 2 solder holes just for testing or maybe permanently? To see what the problem is

Exactly which receiver? The ia6b and c are the only ones that support ibus. Also you need to connect it to an uninverted UART. Also solder isn't permanent, you can just melt the solder and pull the wires out.

Wait so I can't use sbus with that flight controller?

quadcopter built and flies amazingly! its actually a pretty snappy little thing xD my only problem is that im getting like 1 and a half minute flight times because i should be using probably a 500-600mah battery and im using an old 300mah battery xD

one question. a while back I wanted to get better flight performance by upgrading the propellors on my quad and I'm curious what makes the most difference at around the 60mm prop size. Does flexible vs rigid matter? will a three, or four blade perform better than a 2 blade? How much does bullnose vs normal affect performance? does the pitch make a substantial performance increase?  i know all these things do on big 10 inch props but idk about 60mm

Lol, reading this now its like a blow by blow :P

whats wrong with it this time ? might be worth it to just grab a tiny brushed one off banggood. they pretty solid.

Ya, I'm sticking to diy planes. They are cheaper and I've made them a thousand times

Well the DYS 4in1 ESC finally showed up!  Spent the afternoon building and just finished its first hover.  Everything went smooth with the exception of the motor wires being slightly to short to reach (and i mean ever so slightly!)  The OSD wasn't displaying properly so I had to go back into betaflight and manually select NTSC and not use auto that by default is selected.

First time using 3bladed props ever and cant say I'm overly impressed.  I thought they would give similar feel to a 6" 2blade but it seems its quite a bit less as with a 3cell it was hovering at around 60% and all my other builds always needed less than 35% and required setting a throttle curve to get me a nice enough resolution to do a stable hover.  Tried it with a 4cell and that made it feel a lot more like my other 6"ers.  Maybe I'm just biased cause I fly my 3cell 6" so often...

I also throw away the stock aluminum standoffs and use the dyed nylon with some 15mm and 18mm long titanium button head screws.  I also stagger the screws so the empty part of the standoffs are not all on the same plane.  This has proven to be super strong and i have yet to break anything(besided props) in a crash since going to this setup.

@JokerProduction how does the "Green" one fly, 6" props on 1806 with 3S is a interesting combo.

I think 1806 motors don't get the credit their due.  This setup gets really long flight times which is why I usually end up grabbing it when I only have one battery to fly.  Power wise I don't find it lacking at all.(which cant be said about the beater with 5" props)  Really if you going with a light weight build I don't think you really need the 22xx size motors .  If you wanna haul a gopro/action cam or run 4s then I think that's the point when the 220x motors are warranted.  Going with bigger motors just because is stupid if you cant take full advantage of them it ends up being just extra weight to haul around.

I don't upgrade my Rigs but build new ones when there is enough new tech out there to warrant it. Doing it that way is a very good way to actually compare how much of an improvement there actually is.  I have zero intentions of changing the green one.

Really though besides props and cell count I find there is not really any other upgrades to be made that are night and day difference but a very low % of improvement.

I will probably have to end up switching out the F1 boards when Betaflight drops support though.  I really like this DYS f4 but I probably wouldn't pair it with the 4in1 esc again and instead would opt for some 30a out on the arms.  (time for a yellow build)

I keep finding myself dissapointed with 5" props even with 4s. I guess I may need to step up to a faster motor like a 2600 or 2750 with 30A esc

@JokerProduction thanks man, Yeah I agree I really enjoyed my 1806's on my first ZMR250 with 3C. it was a fun little nipper. I've still got them and trying to figure out what to do with them, Was thinking a 150 build, go lighter and have it as a small-ish terror. might just buy a $15 150 frame. only issue I have with the small motors and might be unique to my ones (emax Cheapies) is I've already gone through 4 of them, almost every crash one breaks in some way.

I don't think emax makes the strongest motors.  I havent used any of there miniquad sized ones but I bought a bulk order of 2212 980kv  way back for my tricopters.  After I burned through all 20 of them, I purchased some sunnysky x2212 980kv and have yet to break one....  I've yet to replace any of the dys 1806 motors and they've taken a beating.

I'll keep a eye out, for now though I'm waiting on parts to arrive so can finally finish my TyrantS

ive never used emax motors but iver heard they have a ton of thrust. I have been sticking to racerstar motors cause their cheap and turnigy motors cause they take a heck of a beating xD

So during one of the first flights of my new 5 inch martian build this happened https://streamable.com/b8inq. Any idea what causes this stutter?

That is... strange. My first guess is your receiver is dropping packets, what radio link system are you using and are your RX antennas okay? Also what flight controller? I don't think that's the issue, but... maybe...

To comment on the Emax issue, my RS2205 2300s (original, not the S variant) are the strongest motors I've ever used (compared to original Cobra 2204 2300s and Tmotor F40 Pro). My set has lasted for around 9 months and I've only killed 2 in that time. I've had my F40s for about 2 months and killed 2, one of them smoked on the bench (that was the ESC's fault, but the shaft still bent after it popped off).

I have a Turnigy 9x flashed with openTx and an FrSky DJT module. The receiver is a D4R-2 and the antennas look fine as they're protected with heat shrink and zipties. Flight controller is an Omnibus F4 Pro V2. It has an sd card slot so I'll plug one in and see what the black box says if the issue happens again.

UPDATE: I took apart the quad to add a 12v regulator and it turns out one of the antennas had a crease in the active end. Switched it out with one from another frsky reciever and everything seems to be working now. I'm not sure if it was cut through all the way but it seems to have been the source of the issue.
