Camera for tech reviews videos/pictures

Hi, everyone!

I'm looking into buying a Camera for reviewing hardware and else. So it needs to take good pictures/videos.
My price situation is a bit vague I must admit because I don't know a whole bunch about cameras...

So the price point I'm targeting is below a 1000$ MSRP if possible. (I have access to employee pricing in a store where they sell cameras so i won't actually pay a 1000$ i don't have that budget)

(If something is over that price but would change my life just send it )

I'm looking into DSLR or Mirrorless. Basically, i just want a good camera that will do the trick for tech reviews and general use.

I'm looking for a camera that got a really nice price to performance ratio that I will be able to keep on the long run :)

Thank you all in advance! :)

Sony A6000 cameras are excellent for video.

Planning on buying one for my YT channel some time in the next few years.

I was looking at that model or the A5000. Do you have any opinions about the difference between them?

A6000 much larger sensor (way better low light performance) and more features, I would go with that over the 5000.

Ho low light performance is quite important to me also that would be nice! :)

What kind of lens would you recommend? :) Just the default one? (16-50)

The default one is good, but I don't have much experience with lenses so I can't really recommend any.

Plenty of people use the default for their videos and it looks great.

The A6000 has much larger sensor than the A5000?  They're both APS-C sensors, the same size.

You're right, my bad I was thinking of the RX100

6000 still has better low light than the 5000 though.

I use my iPhone.

I have a ZenPhone 2 it's not the best video quality in the world. And if I get the camera I will probably be able to get a small contract for a small business so it could be worth it.

But if I don't find anything that works for me. I will just use my ZenPhone 2 for the beginning.

Don't go with the a6000, its outdated nowdays and the a6300 was improved immensely from what I have read.

I would go with an eos 750d, kit EF-S 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 and EF-S 10-18mm lenses. MSRP should be below the $1000 you mentioned, you can record at 1080p and have access to the most complete lens ecosystem available, it has been around for years, lenses are available in the used market significantly cheaper, and even new they are quite a lot cheaper than sony's lenses.

Now low light on the a6300 will be better than the 750d, and you have more video capabilities including 4k recording, but the system is significantly more expensive.

What are the differences between the 750D and 70D? @cc143

The 750d has 4mp more, is lighter has nfc a slightly newer processor and is cheaper.

The 70d is larger, has a top screen, gets a 2 more fps burst, larger battery, 98% vs 95% coverage viewfinder and some other insignificant stuff.

tbh, I would personally go with the 750d out of the 2.

And what about the EOS 760D? It's almost the same price for me on amazon.ca.

The 760d is basically a 750d with a top lcd and a 2nd dial to use for aperture setting. To me those 2 are worth something because I've been used to having them for over 10 years, so they are important to me, if this is your first dslr though, you won't know the difference until you actually use a higher tier camera.

So question is how much more is it? I mean considering you could get a 50mm 1.8 for ~£100 (don't know how much in Canada), £50 less on the camera get you half way there...

The only way to buy them on Amazon.ca are with those kits.

What is the difference between those cameras and a T6(i)? I see a couple of places when they talk about those cameras like they are the same...? (And it's not the first time i see this in the last years)

I don't think the 55-250 or any tele for that matter will be a good 1st lens, I'd go with an ultrawide instead, especially for filming I think the 10-18mm would be better suited.

No you are better off with the 18-55mm with the 750d only and the 10-18mm i.e. no tele lens.

I'm really new to all of this and i'm looking for the most informations that i can get :)

Thanks for your patience ^^
