I have had this issue with my PC as well. What i figured out in the end was that it was caused by the logitech software. (I have G430) so i removed the Logitech software, reinstalled my audio drivers. then i rebooted and installed the logitech software again, and everything worked and CPU usage went down to normal

Be sure to use the latest version of the logitech software.

What's hogging the CPU?

like everything that takes no cpu is taking a lot more out of the blue .

i have 7700k and gigabyte z270 gaming 7 ,gskill 3200mhz 32gb  ram (i reinstalled the chipset drivers , didnt help).

chrome from 2% if i mouse my mouse on it it goes to 25%.

i normally play wow at 15-20% cpu but its up at 60%.

i uninstalled my logitech software , and now downloading

  • Software Version: 8.91.48
  • Post Date: Feb 01, 2017
  • OS: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows 10
  • File Size: 96.8 MB

i will try with my stereo headset before even installing or using my headset and will update here.

try a clean boot with only the microsoft services running and disable suspected startup items from msconfig, or just disable them all.
