How did you measure speed before? How are you measuring it now?

Open cmd.exe as a admin and type in this command:

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

If it wont help then set it back

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

From where? With what?

Steam?

Can you do a speedtest from speedtest.net and post the results?

Speedtest looks good.

When you reinstall steam it defaults to MB/s but used to be Mb/s, and I'm sure origin and uplay probably have similar settings.

For Steam it's Settings > Downloads > Check 'Display in bits per second'

The difference between the MB and Mb is a factor of 8 so 1MB/s is 8Mb/s

It helps to quote people so they get notifications and know you're talking to them, allows people to respond faster :)

And that's right for 8Mbps, BF1 is ~42GB and at 1MB/s it will take about 12 to 13 hours, give or take.

Are you paying for more than 8Mbps from your ISP or is that what you're paying for?

Check what you're paying for, 7MB/s is about 56Mbps so if you're paying for 50Mbps or 60Mbps then there is a problem, but if you're only paying for 8Mbps then it's all good.

It might be something on your ISPs side, if you have another device you can check with and confirm the speedtest matches your PC and you're paying for more then call them up, something might have happened and it just happened to be right inline with your reinstall.

What are you paying for? they usually advertise speeds in Mbit/s. But people don't use the terminology correctly sometimes, so we have to figure out of you were getting 7MB (megabytes) per second, or 7Mb (megabits) per second... the only way we can see if you're getting what you should be getting, is for you to tell us waht plan/tarrif you're on?

Alright, so you're definitely not getting what you're supposed to be then.

What is the motherboard make/model?

Well, it might not be a "problem" as such, some people for instance pay for eg 52Mbps, but only get 20Mbps because of how far away from the exchange they are when using VDSL as the copper portion of the network isn't good. But it#s still better than ADSL where the max for them is like 6Mbps. I know this first-hand as have seen it on many occassions, there's nothing the ISP can do as they technically "lease" the line from the main company. The main company doesn#t want to spend money expanding a "dead end" network where there are fewer people, and the people that live in these areas can do nothing about it as there are no other options, or the options are way expensive and have data caps.

On page 13, is it the light on the left that's on and the other is off?

As Lurick said above, might be that the ethernet is only on 10/100 speed maybe and is the bottleneck... but could be other equipment that is between you and the router. What is the setup there, do you have a swtich or anything between you and the router? anything like wall access ports etc?

If you can, it'd be great if you can plug your PCs ethernet straight into the router and run a speedtest again.
