in fact i recommend subbing or checking this subreddit often, because i see 1440p 144hz monitors drop as low as $299 on a good day (most likely refurb models)

It's not common sense because it doesn't reference a single currency type.

The Acer XG270HU is the cheapest 1440p 144hz monitor pretty much anywhere and its still above $300.

 

If you want <$300 and 1440p then get the Asus PB277Q

 

If you want <$300 and 144hz then get the Samsung C24FG70, or if you don't want a curved display, get the Asus MG248Q
