Prepare your wallets: Dell 32" 8K Monitor now on sale for $4999

Their scaling implementation defeats the purpose of actually having a high resolution monitor. Also playing a game at higher scaling causes the picture to be blurry shitty looking when you try to run it at native res with windows scaling on, so as I said earlier shitty and pointless.

Thats why you dont buy high res small size screens in the first place.

That's a great monitor, the pixel density though, I'm sure it's pleasure to watch :)
Though being used for professional use, still quite far from mainstream ebviously.

What I'd like to see is like 4K HDR OLED high refresh rate that would just be amazing. Of course I'd use that high refresh rate with lower resolution in fps game, so don't be dumb, tyvm.

I'd take their 4K OLED over this (also $5000)... Hell, I'd take a QHD OLED over this..

Though my real dream monitor would be a 3440x1440 OLED at 120Hz+

At what distance do you sit from your monitor?

about a tad over 2' for casual use for more direct work i always lean forward probably 1-1/2 -2' feet and gaming is always about 1-1/2 - 2'  this is for 24 inch -28 inch moinitors. i sit about 3'-4'  from my 43 inch 4k when gaming

I'd rather have a 1080p display and much better battery life. There isn't any advantage to much more than 1080p on such a small display at typical viewing distances (use in VR headsets excluded).

That's why I love my Mate 8.

I get days worth of battery life.

perhaps Linus should redo their 8k gaming video when this monitor comes out

but honestly i'm more looking forward to the PG27UQ. it'll be pretty revolutionary in my eyes seeing the specs

I'm not familiar with feet, so I did a conversion to cm, and unless I did the conversion wrong. You're sitting way to close to the screen, mate.

I don't know if you're sitting this close because you like it or because you don't see better from further back. If the latter is the case, go see an eye doctor if you haven't already.

That constant artificial light in your face at that distance is not good for your eyes.

eyes are good last time i got them checked it was better than 20/20  i like my monitor filling a large portion of my eyes im within arms reach of the moinitor to give you a idea without units of measure. but yes i sit too close and studys show sitting close is not what causes bad eyes. Its lack of sunlight and this is a correlation that gets mixed up because most people that sit infront of a computer screen too close for long hours  also typically dont get enough regular natural light to there eyes.

Then use that and be happy. Everyone knows that Windows scaling sucks, still people buy high res displays and complain afterwards. Do you also buy low hp cars and complain afterwards that you cant keep up with porsches? lol
