AdSense responsive designs

Hi, I'm trying to add responsive adsense ads but they do not fit like I want all the time.

Sometimes they fit perfectly and sometimes they are smaller and got alot of green color around it, how do I fix this? I have tryed to google this a bit but there doesent seem to be anyone having the issue.
