Installing Numpy on Mac

So at the moment I have installed numpy using pip (maybe not correctly). I have tried looking stuff up, but there is not much help. If someone could just describe the process of installing numpy on my mac and getting it to work with python, I'd appreciate it. I'm using python 3.6, so I do have pip etc. installed by default.

Sometimes I've had problems, specially when using ubuntu since it comes with both python 2 and python 3. PyCharm has a gui functionality that allows to install packages from pip. It has always worked for me that way

The best way to measure the quality of a piece of code is "Oh F*** "s per line
