Build Help

PB3

I have two options.

Right now I have an i7-4790K and RAM that I can use. However, the RAM is kind of shit so I think I'm going to get some new RAM, however, to balance chat, I would like to maybe cheapen up on storage. Here's the list I have planned around them. My budget is about $1200. Is it good?

What is the build for?

Why are you not using the 4790K?

No gaming? No GPU?

Crap PSU

EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE CPU (you could get a 7700K and a Z270 motherboard for that much!!)

Why 2 bare HDDs (no metal casing, designed for OEM installation) and why 2 1TB instead of 1 2TB (cheaper)????

aaahhh yeah so this makes no sense..4790k is a superior chip, use that one.. (why would you buy an older chip anyways?) Change to 1 2tb drive. You're making me believe that you don't really own and run a 4790k if you're considering something old as 2600k as a viable option.

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

What memory (RAM) do you have, i.e. why don't you like it?

How about posting a pcpartpicker list of your current system. (You can usually type in the model number in search to find older components.) Don't worry about price.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

It's not custom built.
