Gaming Monitor Search!

So I am trying to find a good monitor that is not over 200 dollars, mostly for gaming and streaming.

Wishlist for specs:

- IPS, LED, LED Backlight

- 6ms or less response time

- AMD FreeSync (This is optional though, but one of my wish list specs. Mostly because I have an AMD GPU.)

- 22" inches to 24" inches.

- Thin-ish bezels. (Please don't find one that is thicker than your mother.)

- HDMI, DisplayPort

Optional Specs:

- DVI-D

- 3.5mm audio jack input

CANNOT have:

- G-Sync

- Speakers (If it does, then whatever. I just would like to not have them.)

I have found Dell IPS screens to be cost effective and reasonable in quality. I game and do graphical work on it without issue :) certainly its whites are white and its blacks are quite dark if not pure black :)

It's a few years old now but its a model U2412M there are likely to be more upto date successor models you can track down or look at reviews of to find something in your pricepoint.

Heya^^

What exactly do you play?

If its more slower RPGs, simulations etc, i would recommend a different one, than if you play CS:GO 90% of your time.

In your Price range, you pretty much have a Jackpot.

You can go for a Acer XF240Hbmjdpr

That thing costs 230€ here in Germany, offers 1080p, 144 Hz, and freesync over the full Range. The Panel should be decent.

If you don't need 144 Hz, you can go for a better Panel (IPS, or VA).

For example: Samsung C24F390FHU.

That is a Curved VA Panel, with a Freesync range of 48-72 Hz, however, no Adjusts like pivot/swivel.

IPS?

Samsung S24F350FHU, which offers the same, just not Curved.

Or LG Electronics 24MP68VQ-P, which offers a native 75 Hz, and a wide Freesync range of 40-75.

Maybe the new Dell S2418H/S2418HX with "Dell HDR", whatever that may mean.

However, only HDMI (lets ignore there is VGA..........)

But i wouldn't go above 200 bucks for this one~

I would mostly play FPS shooters, but I plan to also play other games too.

But, a little over my budget which I cannot really do.

Curved hurts my head. And the other samsung model, it's a TN panel.

Couldn't find results for it, sadly.

Too bad.. because 144 Hz instead 60 is a pretty big dealbreaker for almost every shooter ^^

Keep in Mind, you might keep the Monitor for 5+ years. So it might be worth, saving another 30-40 bucks for one.

Alternatively, any 144 Hz Monitor, even if it doesn't have Freesync, would also be a good bunch "smoother" than any 60-75 Hz Monitor.

Nope, the other Samsung is a IPS Panel, on PLS basis: http://www.samsung.com/uk/monitors/led-sf350/LS24F350FHUXEN/

PLS is a variant of IPS.
