IIyama GB2488HSU - 120hz instead of 144hz on desktop

zzz123

Hello. My monitor is IIyama GB2488HSU. In desktop and nvidia panel i can choose only 120hz instead of 144hz. This monitor is 144hz. Why i cant ?

In GTA V i can use 1920x1024 144hz automatically. But desktop only 120hz.

I am using currently DISPLAY PORT , so its fine. Any ideas?

Card is Gtx 1080 Ti

I think that you may need to overclock your monitor's refresh rate...

I don't think you want your destop 144HZ, and I am pretty sure that it automatically underclocks it on your destop, but not on games...

The awesome build

Ram: DDR400 2.5 GB   GPU: It's big, that's all I know   Case: A red box   Motherboard: My mother hates me   HDD: I don't have one, I threw it against the wall and it broke, so it is a softdrive   CPU: Intel Pentium 3, Quake get's rekt   OS: Microshaft Winblows XP

Probably because you have it set to 1920x1024. That's not a normal resolution. It should be either 1920x1080 or 1920x1200. The next closest resolution is 1680x1050

Not true of any other 144hz monitor. And I doubt it changes when you load a game, since setting the resolution/refresh rate is a desktop setting. It would only change if it were free sync/g sync, which it's not

Can you please edit your post to look like this, because a lot of people are using the dark theme?
