No audio devices linux

Ubuntu does not see any of my audio devices.  I have onboard, my speaker, and my monitor.  Ubuntu only sees a dummy card and will not give audio to anything.  Anyone can help with this?

Simple. You'll need to download and install the Linux driver for your audio hardware.

ok thanks im new to this stuff.  Is there also any way to expand a partition used by linux from windows?  I have unallocated space and I would like to use it for linux.

you can expand the partition, but not the filesystem inside it.

 

What audo chipset is your boad using, check lspci
