How much Power do I really need ? RX 480 Crossfire

I got myself 2 RX 480 8 GB (1) Founders Edition and (2) Asus Strix 8 GB and was wondering if I am going to need a new power supply as well.

I currently have an Corsair RM 650 and I am looking for an Intel 7600 k or 7700k and a new / used Motherboard.

Will it be just enough or would you recommend more power and if so how much should it be (sweet spot)
No need to spend to much for a 1000 W PSU if I really don´t need one.

What would be interessting to know is...is it a "bad idea" to run these to cards in crossfire if the Cooling style´s are diffrent / fan Config ?

Many thanks

650W is plenty.  550W is more than enough.

Running these cards in Crossfire is not a bad idea, why would it be?

I was wondering because the first card has a diffrent cooling solotion than the second one (1) blowing out the back  and the (2) dual fan config from an after market manufacturer.
If there could be an issure it would be nice to know beforehand in case I "have to"  buy two that are similiar in the cooling department ;)

Never used crossfire before and I won´t go into watercooling any time soon.

Powerdraw should be near the 160 W mark  for each from what I could research on youtube

the only thing i have heard of about crossfiring 2 different after market models of the same card is that you run them at the same clockspeed or was that sli.

It will work fine, it'll just look like shit and your cards will have hugely different temps and noise levels. STRIX 480 is a triple fan config, so maybe you have the Dual?

Founders Edition is an Nvidia branding term, AMD cards are just 'reference'

650W is fine but I'd just sell your 480 and get a single 1080 or the like. Dual GPU stuff sucks.

Yeah, it would be much better with a single 1080 or even 1070 and would likely have a much lower power draw.

Already got the case so that won´t be happening I think. Also I have an RM 650 from my prevous build  - why would I upgrade to the PSU you suggested ?

If you already got the Corsair RM650, then keep it. It's a good PSU.

My bad, forgot you already had the PSU. I recommend getting 16GB of RAM anyways, or upgrade to it as soon as possible.

Will do - Should I stuck to 4x4 GB since I already have 2x4GB - or go to 2x8 GB RAM ?
Any recommendations on speeds would be nice - currently Running Hyper X 2666 MHz

I am now looking for a CPU Cooler - I wanted to spend not more than I need for my 7700k for just a tiny bit of OC - nothing to crazy - maybe 4,8 on 1,3V
Hyper 212X maybe or is that going to cheap ?

I´d like it to be quiet but nothing fancy like LED´s and the like

Cryorig H7 or Cryorig M9i, both are better but H7 cools slightly better than the M9i
