I guess it would, considering that it is Build by AMD's Mantle :)

But as it is now open-source and Nvidia supports it as well, I believe and hope it will work equally good on both systems.

As ealier stated, I really just wish that more game devs would start supporting this, but I betcha that MS is fighting this any way they can!

Hard to answer.

There is a 7 months old PCgamer article that shows that AMD benefits more from vulkan than Nvidia.

There is an equally old article from Phoronics that test vulkan vs OpenGL on Linux where Nvidia seems to profit from first party drivers.

And there are also claims by Nvidia that they improved DX12 and possibly Vulkan performance by up to 33% on the current 378.78 driver.

Unless some reviewer with both cards at hand does another OpenGL vs. Vulkan spring 2017 edition we have no idea.

Also by the time CIG finishes implementation we probably have the next generation hardware from both teams anyway so the whole table gets flipped again.

Chris has said there always will be just it'll be after initial release, the main issue with no Linux build was cryengine and Nvidia not updating the engine/drivers or something, if you really want the reason I'll have to go digging.

No, they didn't. Crytek changed the engine's name to Lumberyard. But it's still the same engine.

 

SC's version of it is so heavily modified at this point that it can be considered something altogether different, but that's another story. :)

if i'm not mistaken the Lumberyard engine is owned by amazon, not crytek.  Did amazon acquire crytek?

Well, kinda yes and no. Officially, Amazon "developed" Lumberyard under license from Crytek.  Factually, they just gave Crytek a bunch of money to keep them from going bankrupt and now have them and their engine in their pocket. :)

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

 

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Most of the core members are on the official LTT Conglomerate Discord server so all the discussion happens there. Link is in my sig if you're interested.

3.0 does look cool but we are stuck with 2.6.3. for another month so everyone is just bored with the game right now (unless you're super competitive) and is just waiting for the publich test patch to come out.
