Typing in @ after usernames doesn't work sometimes

NerdyCoder

I'm using Chrome 57. For example, when I want to type @colonel_mortis, sometimes this feature doesn't work after I use this feature 5 times. What the heck is wrong with this site? This bug really disturbs me! Please help me!

Everytime I type (at)colonel_mortis, my web browser (presumably) turns it into @recycle_bin.

Edit: This is a joke.

Sometimes it works sometimes it is not. I sometimes have to refresh the page sometimes too.

sometimes happens to me, it clears up when i remove the @ and retype it in

example: @randomnamehere doesn't work, i remove @randomnamehere in its entirely and type in @randomnameshere

Same here on Firefox. Sometimes I can force it to work by refreshing page or reopening browser. Or adding space after @ .

I have been able to reproduce it (though I can't reproduce it reliably), and I have an idea for why it could be happening. For anyone who has this issue, do you type fairly quickly? Particularly between pressing the @ key and any further keys?

I suppose. But it works sometimes even when I do it at normal speeds. Its been like that since Alpha also. You can check my many bug reports about it.

misspelt the name the first time, i go back and delete the typo only for the tag to not work

like: @colonel_mortid and I try to delete the 'd' at the end so it becomes @colonel_morti and when i type s it doesn't tag you,  i have to delete the whole string and retype it.

@colonel_mortis_isafaggot also this is a thing

@Ryan_Vickers&airdeanoRGay this too

This issue is supposed to have been fixed, so the reports from since the alpha are no longer valid. This is the first report that I have seen about it since the fix was implemented several months ago.

Ok, well. I let you know next time it happens. It might be that its been several months since last one. Its among those things I take are not going to be fixed.
