Asus pg279q vs UltraWide

FrostyBites

So i already have all the components i want for my new pc but cant decide on a monitor. I was thinking of getting the Asus pg279q for $800 but ultrawide monitors are so beautiful. On amazon the lg34uc98 goes down to around $800 quite frequently and is an awesome monitor. However it does have Amd freesync and im buying a Nvidia Graphics card. Im not a competitive gamer at all. Ill propably be playing Gta V fallout and battlefield 1 the most. The lg does have 75hz tho. The thing thats probably making it the hardest to decide is g sync. Is it really noticable? Im not going to be gaming for hours and ultrawide is so awesome. Please help me decide!
