if you are gaming 1080p get any it should be fine -

 

if you are editing using cuda - get 1060

 

if you want to go crossfire later get 8gb 480

 

or get what ever is cheeper

Don't buy 3gb Cards anymore. Period. No matter what you do, no matter how much Money you have.

 

In the long run, you're better off with a RX 470 4gb, than with a GTX 1060 3gb. Despite, the GTX 1060 will have more raw performance. 3gb are Bottlenecking, and NOT enough anymore at all. In some games yes. In most newer ones already at it's limit.

 

Some games can break 6gb even.

 

so:

 

RX 480 8gb = GTX 1060 6gb (both have pros and cons) > RX 470 8gb (NItro+, since this model has fastest memory. Other 470 8gb models have slower memory) > RX 480 4gb > RX 470 4gb > GTX 1050 ti (if you mainly need the power efficiency.

Don't even consider 1060 3gb.

Get the 480. It is actually a 480. The 1060 3gb is a 1060 lite with worse specs besides the vram.
