BIOS Auto-reset after accidental forced shut-downs or after long periods of Powered Down State

Hi

So I have noticed that whenever there's a power outage, which leads to my PC forcefully shutting down (I don't have a UPS) or whenever my PC hasn't been turned on for more than 10 hours, my BIOS auto-resets to the stock config. My mobo is a Gigabyte X99 Ultra Gaming running the i7 6850k and 32GB RAM powered by the Cooler Master V850 PSU. Is the board faulty or is it due to the C-MOS Battery?

Regards

C-MOS Battery?

Well that's a good place to start, considering they're cheap. Just get a known brand

is the clock and date wrong? 9/10 cmos bat problems reset the clock.

Silent build - You know your pc is too loud when the deaf complain. Windows 98 gaming build, smells like beige

How do I check for that problem? Sorry, kinda noobish when it comes to high end hardware tinkering
