What monitor to choose

I am planning a build with an i7 7700k and a single gtx 1080 but i am actually confused with the monitor i am thinking of getting a single ultrawide curved monitor from lg but on some forums i saw that a single gtx 1080 does not perform well in 4k but does good in 1080p so what to choose 2 asus 144hz gaming monitor or lg ultrawide monitor

A 1080 should be fine with an ultrawide, I'm not 100% sure but I am fairly confident that that would be easier to run than two 144hz screens anyway depending on what the resolution was. Most ultrawides aren't 4k so you don't need to worry about that.
