So with Ryzen out now and some of us building (If your lucky enough to snag a mobo, just got mine so expect reviews to come :D) the argument has been that it doesn't perform well at 1080p. This led me to ask around to find out what most people are gaming at. Feel free to comment below, but I am generally curious what people game at.

i was excited about ryzen and i really think it's a great thing, but i have a haswell i7 and it just doesnt seem worth upgrading for it. For someone that's wanting to build a PC right now, they would be insane not to go with Ryzen IMO, but for upgrading, especially from a decent i7, maybe not. i game at 4k when i can, but, R9 390 Nitro, so usually 1440p max settings.  i can get away with 4k in source games :P

Home PC:

CPU: i7 4790s ~ Motherboard: Asus B85M-E ~ RAM: 32GB Ballistix Sport DDR3 1666 ~ GPU: Sapphire R9 390 Nitro ~ Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-03 ~ Storage: Kingston Predator 240GB   PCIE M.2 Boot, 2TB HDD, 3x 480GB SATA SSD's in RAID 0 ~ PSU:    Corsair CX600

Most interesting thing about this is I thought it would be like 70% 1080p 20% 1440p and 10% 4k. But that is Primary monitor, whose to say they have a secondary with higher resolution, so not the best representation of whats actually being used.

I game at 4k and plan on getting a 1440p for shooters for higher FPS. I just got my Ryzen mobo, and for a guy like me it makes sense since at 4k there has been minimal difference and the content creation boost your getting is huge. But again has to fit situation, which is why I am curios.

4K, 60hz. The monitor is an Acer XB280HK. It's TN and has a 1ms response time advertised. 2 GTX 1080s.

And also, about Ryzen, I will be upgrading to it from my 6700k in the next couple of months.

I'm guessing, because of the nature of these forum, there will be a lot 1440p and a few 4K users.

I use dual 1080p screens (one monitor, one tv). Monitor for multiplayer games, TV for single player games.

Still 1080p. I already have the cash and the rig to jump to 1440p but I am still debating myself between 2560x1080 p(ultrawide) or regular 2560x1440p

Rofl I 4k and 8k it a way off bro. The 1080ti just barely does 60 FPS maxed out graphics. In order to maintain 60 fps I usually turn AA off and shadows down on most titles.

Whats great about this poll is its showing that exact  45% 1080p and rest is everything else. Still the largest single chunk, but nowhere near what I thought it would be.

I prefer having more work space. Also my 980 Ti's are still doing the trick at 4K. I would wait for GPU's to catch up before I upgraded to 8K.

Ya I am using a 1080 but swapping for the TI one aftermarket stuff hits.
