The Grand Quest For A Mouse!

Hey all, i need some help looking for a mouse.

Here's what i need:

-My hand is 8.1 inches long and 4 inches wide

-I am a palm gripper

-I mainly play War Thunder and TF2

-I'm an RGB nub

-Preferably under 100 bucks, but if you have a really good mouse for over that put it in please!

Big hands, palm grip and want rgb

Mionix Naos 7000. Don't go with the other versions. 7000 has the best sensor besides the qg.

hmm.. no, they don't have the best sensor. The best sensor available as of now is the 3360/3366, the naos 7000 uses 3310, a great sensor indeed but 3360 is better

the g502 is a great mouse, but my goodness they are heavy, if you are playing TF2 I doubt you like something heavy, but it won't be a problem in war thunder. the G900 is amazing but I think they are well above $100 (149, it's 115 in amazon rn). if 2 side buttons are enough then the G403 is a great choice. 

there are surely other mouse out there other than logitech but since everyone here in LTT love Logitech so I might as well throw it in. 

and mouse are personal preference, what is great for me might be horrible for you so try them if you can

8.1 inches is quite large; that and a palm grip mean you should only be looking at the largest mice. Judging by the fact that you knew your hand size, I'm assuming you've used rocketjumpninja.com before?

 

I'd be looking at a Deathadder Elite or G403. The Mionix Naos 7000 and Roccat Kone EMP might also be good options, though their unconventional shapes mean you may either love them or hate them.

The Deathadder is terrible. I've used it, and honestly I can say the only thing worse than that is the Naga Epic Chroma. It feels klunky and plasticky, and the build quality's pretty bad. Honestly, if you need a large mouse, try something like the Roccat Kone mice, especially the Kone XTD

 

edit: The R.A.T. 7 is also great, seeing as you can adjust it to whatever size you need

The Kone XTD is more of a medium palm mouse; the EMP is their large palm grip. I think the Deathadder might have just been too large for you. Build quality has also improved with the newest revision, with Razer changing their previously iffy switches. Plastic coatings are always personal preference.

 

My daily driver is a Roccat. I just think the G403 and Deathadder are better suited for OP's hands.

I have large-ish hands, and I always found the Kone XTD to be perfect, but that's just me. And that may be, but Razer still hasn't shed their reputation for terrible quality control and overpriced products, so until then i'll stay away from them.

 

 

And I would also recommend the G403. It's a great mouse overall. But I still am wary of Razer's products. The mouse I use is an M65 as of now, but i'm gonna switch to a G403, as it's great not only for a wireless mouse, but can compete with wired mice also.

It's heavier than most mice without any weights in. At 121g, it's quite a bit heavier than even larger palm grip mice like the G403 (90g) or EC1-A (97g), and much heavier than smaller claw grip mice like the Kana (72g) or Lua (70g). 

 

The weight is somewhat justified because the infinite scroll wheel has quite a bit of inertia (clicking in and out of infinite scroll and feeling the whole thing shake is so satisfying), but it's useless for gaming. On top of that, the G900 managed to fit in the scroll wheel and wireless with a lower weight. I feel almost as though they just made it hefty to create an illusion of higher build quality (Chinese OEM mice do this all the time). 

 

That said, mouse weight is only really important at low sensitivities. At high sensitivities, you can't flick, you don't care as much about accuracy, and you don't pick up the mouse as often, so weight becomes much less of an issue. But if you don't use low sensitivities, why pay more for an expensive sensor?

Well, if a few extra grams is too much to handle then I guess stray away from the g502. I still highly recommend it and 2 people I know personally that use the mouse feel the same way.
