HELP!! Formatting went wrong!!!

Go to solution Solved by BrinkGG,

"Need help finding your account", let it walk through the steps and see if it spits you out at a menu where you can add a new account.

I removed my device form my google account using my PC and then I formatted the tablet but I forgot to remove the google account from the tablet.

after formatting the tab I tried to log in with different account but the tab showed me this message - "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device."

What should I do now?

All you have to do is sign in with the user/pass that was used when it was connected to your Google account. You don't need to actually have it connected to the account. It's just ensuring that you're the one resetting the device, instead of someone who's stolen it or something.

Unless of course, you're a thief! /s

  • 3 weeks later...

Usually, with the device off, you can press and hold vol+ and power OR vol- and power until you boot into the recovery options. You should have an option called something like recovery kernel. Choosing that should allow you to remove all traces of previous user data allowing you to start from a fresh factory restart.
