Computer really loud

VoyexTech
Go to solution Solved by The_Denks,

Clean out all the dust from your PC intakes, exhausts and especially heatsinks

Get a fan optimizing program (if its not built into your BIOS)

Also, make sure none of the bearings in the fan are broken

So I understand why my computer is loud... mainly because it has 8 fans (if you count the GPU, CPU, and case fans). All of these fans running cause my computer to vibrate quite a lot. This makes my PC so ungodly loud that it can be heard 2 rooms away. Any ideas on how to get rid of the vibrations?

I have an Anet A8 as my project printer and a i3 MK3 for when I want things to work.

I extrude my own filament and haven't saved a penny yet.

My PC:

CPU: Intel i7 8700k

Motherboard: MSI Z370-A Pro

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V (2x8GB) DDR4-3200

GPU: GTX 1070 Founders Edition (OC'd)

Storage: 2x 2TB Seagate 5400RPM, 128GB ADATA SSD

Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 750w  B2

Cooling: Noctua NH-D15. 3 Intake Fans, 2 Outtake

Case: Fractal Design Define R6

Better fans? Are you using the stock CPU cooler? Maybe try putting rubber grommets or something on the feet of the tower

I clean out the dust yester and that's didn't help. A fan optimizing program might be a good idea and all my fans are new. Thanks for the help!

Well what motherboard do you have?

If its from ASUS, it should have fan optimization built into the BIOS, you just have to open the BIOS and find the button and press it, and it does it automatically

I'm using the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler and I will try adding some sort of mat to help with vibration

Make sure that you correctly identify the source of the noise.

Stop fans with your hands to see what's causing the noise.

If you're hearing loud vibrations from your case, I'd guess that it's from a hdd as opposed to fans.
