How can I completely delete or wipe a ssd in windows 10 due to a virus or malware infection?What free tools can I use?

I also did that many times already but it's the the best way. My cpu  and ram usage is high even no applications are open.

Use dban to write 0 on the entire drive. https://dban.org And Download https://sourceforge.net/projects/dban/files/dban/dban-2.3.0/dban-2.3.0_i586.iso/download

It's actually called secure erase. It works by writing zeroes to every sector of a hard drive or SSD. It is possible that it might not delete something on a sector that the controller has designated as bad, but it will delete enough data that no virus is going to have enough of itself left to actually do anything.
