Entho evolv TP + 850-1200 PSU suggestions.

Yes, I took time to read the top 3 psu topics, and watched some youtube videos online which some stated that:  most of the time power consumption would not reach half of your PSU

Pcpart suggested 850w, image below from cooler master recommaned 1000W, and they listed the 1200 W PSU.

HOW many WATTS PSU DO I need?  Linus said: Not the bigger the Better.  Power eficiency matters?  What high quality PSU brand or modle suggestion do you have? (NO BUDGET)

Also I chose the x62 280mm cooler, looks like the Phantek EnthooEvolv T/P ATX mid-tower have a hard time to hide the 280mm on top (It exposed and covered the top part of motherboard) ?  I really like the x62, should i place it at front or jsut get a 240mm instead?

No it just gives an estimate. You need to look up reviews of power consumption like the one I showed you

the psu you have should be enough for your build.

Never trust a power supply calculator. The only good use for it is if you want a random number because it's essentially a random number generator.

 

Review websites/benchmarks will tell you that even 750W will be sufficient for a R7 1700 and two GTX 980Tis in SLI that are overclocked. If you're concerned about headroom, 850W is fine but 1000-1200W is just plain overkill (and stupid).

 

I suggest the Seasonic PRIME Titanium series seeing how you have quite the budget.
