GTX 970 for 150usd?

I'm looking to build a new system for my brother and someone is selling a used gtx 970 for 150usd. It's been used for a year and a half and am wondering if it's worth purchasing? it's an msi gaming 4g card.

i own 2 480's haha. I'm asking if the price is good. I'm probably going to get it regardless. beccause it's on par or ahead of the rx480 in some cases. Even with the 3.5gb of vram it performs amazing. And if you can find a card 150 dollars and under that can play 1080p games maxed and 1440p games let me know.

i tried haha. I guess this is my only option. I'm not sure why @Savage Tech recommended a 470 haha.

Thinking in the $150 range and I dont consider amazing 2 day deal on a 480 a month ago the normal price the 970 id go for it
