Will it fit ?

Hi all 

I have 2 questions. Im planning on getting the Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo, and i have the bitfenix nova. In my case manual it said there is room for a 160mm cooler but the 212 evo is 159mm. 

Will the 1mm that is left cause any problems ?

 

My second question is how much better is the Evo than the intel stock cooler in temps, noise.

You should be just fine in space, noise, and thermals with the 212 evo over the stock intel.

The case is 1mm bigger, not 1mm too small. It should fit.

What is your CPU? 

 

If your CPU doesn't support overclocking then getting an aftermarket CPU cooler is a waste of money.

The Evo wipes the floor with the stock cooler in all aspects.

 

However if you are not going to overclock, the stock cooler is fine.

i5 6400, are you sure about that ? Sorry but my pc is new and my cpu gets just a bit under 60 when im gaming

The Cryorig H7 is better than them both, and doesn't look super ugly. 

 

Edit: Never mind, you don't need it if you aren't overclocking. 60C is plenty cool.

Whilst it provides the most benefit when overclocking, it's still much quieter than stock when not overclocking and it will still lower temps even on non clocked, so I wouldn't say it's a waste of money

Just stick with the stock cooler as your CPU doesn't support overclocking.

60C is fine for a CPU.

 

The maximum safe operating temperature for most modern CPUs is usually 105C.

Strange, it works for me.
