Why are non mac users stubborn

Why are non Mac users stubborn when it comes to using macs? Steve Jobs even said that macs are better and PC users resist buying one for some reason. Why?

I hands down can't find a use for it, more than word (which can be done on anything cheaper) or social media. Don't expect any gaming there

My issue with what your saying is that I can game on it so I just don't get it

Games on mac are pretty limited, plus you won't be getting any real DGPU unless you go for +$3000 systems

I wouldn't call 99% of this forum stubborn, but here are some reasons I can't use a Mac (in terms of MacOS because the hardware is just no competition price/performance)

This is my personal view, don't feel like these are facts, it's simply why it wouldn't work for me personally:

I have used Macs before, so these aren't made up.

1. Lack of applications and games

2. Too simple: Advanced options are hidden deeply away

3. Not customizable enough for my likings

Here are some things that I like about MacOS, but these are also available on Linux for free :P

1. Simple software updates

2. Unified themes

Not complete lists; just some quick thoughts. I didn't want to answer like a troll, so these are the honest reasons why "we stubborn PC users" (ie. me) don't use a Mac.

My main computer:

i7 6700k || GTX 1070 || Asus Z170 RGB || C.M. Hyper 212 EVO || 16GB RAM || 256GB NVMe SSD || 500GB SATA SSD || 12TB total HDD || Define R5 Blackout || 850W PSU

More Details Below :)

Spoiler

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k                             GPU:  EVGA GTX 1070 FTW                                  |  Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Aura

Hard Drive:  WD 2TB Black, 2TB WD Blue, 8TB WD Red     Case:  Fractal Design Define R5 Blackout Edition   PSU:  Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 850W

Additional Computer Parts: NZXT Hue for LEDs

Peripherals: Dell U2414H (x2) || Corsair Sabre RGB || Corsair K95 Platinum || Sennheiser 558's || Modmic

Mac has its uses, gaming isn't one. I have a dedicated desktop pc for hardcore hardware, and a MacBook Pro for on the move which is where I believe Apple excels, on the go computing, great battery life and performance

First because it's what we're used to, basically same reason why Mac users are so stubborn when it comes to using a pc.

Second just because Steve Jobs said that Macs are better than pc's doesn't make it true. He's was the CEO of Apple so of course that'll be his opinion.

The only thing that apple sells that actually performs is the mac pro, and even that is pretty old

True but we can all agree that if we had piles of money we would but a Mac just for its looks and the os looks nice

I'd be willing to bet that my PC is faster than a Mac of equal value.

Macs seem faster than your average Windows laptop because they have SSDs compared to HDDs, but Macs aren't magically faster than Windows based PCs.

My main computer:

i7 6700k || GTX 1070 || Asus Z170 RGB || C.M. Hyper 212 EVO || 16GB RAM || 256GB NVMe SSD || 500GB SATA SSD || 12TB total HDD || Define R5 Blackout || 850W PSU

Not really, even if I had infinite money I would stick with Windows for the application support and customization.

hahahahahahahahhaa ......

*sighs*

if I had piles of money I would build a ridiculously powerful gaming pc with hardline watercooling

not a underpowered mac and btw the looks of the devices and os are subjective

I like windows better

I think mac devices look boring

and the mac pro looks like a trash can

cause it is

jeez

if I had 3000 dollars

MINIMUM for the mac pro with a 6 core and a bad firepro

I would build something actually good

Only reason for me would be:

somewhat planned obsolescence

motherboards die first (and no warrenty coverage for that!)

stupidly expensive

bad performance (what I want on a laptop, fuck looks if it sacrificed performance)

otherwise, MacBooks are great for me.

Imacs cs are just stupidly expensive and underpowered (Canada, it's $1400 for a dual core.)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.
