New GPU crashes

Just a few days ago, I installed my new Rx 470. Ever since, my games have been crashing nonstop, with GTA V and Shadow Warrior 2 holding the current record for most crashes. Cooling does not seem to be the problem, as it only crashes the game, and my drivers are up to date, I've quadruple-checked. At this point, I don't know what is causing it. Thanks.

Rx 470, 500w power supply, AMD FX-8300 psu, 12gb of DDR3, besides that I'm really not sure. I bought a crappy overpriced Best-Buy computer about 3 years ago, and am trying to upgrade. That's why some specs are missing.

Nope. Tried oc'ing on the old thing and it made a weird noise that seemed to say "I will commit suicide if you do this longer" and I haven't oc'ed anything here because of the crashes.

I just bought it when I bought the card. I didn't need this many watts with my old card.

try removing the drivers using DDU, then install the new ones.

It's not a race to the bottom.

Maybe try switching back to your old card? if it crashes again you might have gotten a bad psu

and you can do the same test by switching cards (assuming the old psu has enough watts to run the new card)

Nope, I bought a new psu because I needed the extra watts.

well best bet would be to scrub all the drivers and then reinstall like the others said then get back to us
