Hi All,

I just watch a video (see below) which shows how to create a simple freezer box with a CPU fan, heatsink, and a Thermoelectric Cooler (TEC). The TEC itself could drastically drop the temperature until 0ºC or more. I'm wondering is it a good idea to put TEC to CPU cooling system?

Thank you

Here's the Demonstration:

I'm not so sure, as the other side of the TEC generates heat, you would end up needing to use a heatsink and fan anyway. Would make an interesting video though for any youtuber who had the knowledge and balls to do it, personally I wouldn't try

It's completely blown out of proportion. Also if you're the least bit worried about data gathering then you should go live in a cave a 1000Km from the nearest establishment simply because every device and every entity gathers information these days. • 1 year later...

Would it not be possible to integrate it into a liquid cooling loop?

Excuse my paint drawing but something like this. Where you can still control the Peltier cooler to avoid condensation while also cooling down the CPU even further than the regular setup. Or using a whole other loop all together for the peltier cooler.
