GTX 1080 Ti or GTX 1080 SLI

Alfy E. Lopez

So right now I'm running 2x Founders GTX 1080's in SLI. I'm still in my return policy and was wondering if it was worth swapping them both out for a 1080 Ti releasing next week?.... maybe even 2 if I choose to spoil myself. Haha

Thoughts?

Depends if you play game that support SLI or not. If they do then keep it

..Can never have enough performance? I dont know, Can you even SLI 1080Ti's?

It's completely up to you to be honest, if you really need that extra performance and have a couple of thousand dollars in your pocket, sure, why not

Keep the 1080 SLI, it's lots faster than a 1080 TI when it can be used properly, and when it can't, you're only 30-ish % behind a 1080 ti.

Since you already have 2 1080s, I'd pass on the TI unless you can buy 2 of those as well. Otherwise, it's a drop in performance in any game that does support SLI... Unless it also happens to need more than 8GB of VRAM, so Titanfall 2 or maybe Rise of the Tomb Raider. lol

Corsair 900D | MSI MPower Max Z87 AC | i7-4790K @ 4.7Ghz | 1080 Ti SLI | 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400

The 1080ti is 55% faster while OC than the 1080. Most games that support SLI gives you less than 50% gain so in theory its better to go with the single card to get all-around performance
