are you sure? becouse the guide says hes using only one cable connecting the pc's

is there a chance the pc im trying to share the internet from (pc1) has a low end ethernet adapter which doesnt allow to send ip4 settings?

 

btw im running wirless on pc1 for internet acess to share via lan to pc2

Yes i'm sure. Me and my two collegues all agreed this is how you will achieve it, we are all network/IT engineers, so pretty well informed.

maybe a wireless card in each might actually then connect via your cable but youd have to find a way to send only your OBS info down ethernet, which will prove tricky...

hey mate just a heads up for you and your buddies :P this worked now to just figure out how to get the info sent across the connection :)

And what about delay? I tried it once and delay was huge like 3-4 seconds.

There is small delay but all you do is add that same delay to microphone audio and webcam image and its as if there was none. Takes alil more tinkering but with most  capture cards you will get atleast some delay anyway. Worth a go to save $
